It's not enough to be part of a marginalized group or to even be aware of certain privileges or to simply "not be racist". Always check the privilege that you have that comes from being white. Understand that *everything* this system was built from was built FOR you. Educate yourself. Read books. Google it. Use that privilege to have difficult conversations with you friends, family, and people around you. Challenge your learned racist thoughts and behaviors. Even if "you're not racist" they're there, you were taught them for generations. Don't call the cops (there are MANY alternatives. Google them.) Abolish to police (there are other avenues that need to be funded instead of militarizing our police against civilians - social work, health care, communities in poverty, education, mental health, rehabilitation, etc Google it.) and if this hurts your feelings, google "white fragility". I say again, educate yourself.
